About the Devonshire Arms Spa

The Devonshire Arms Spa is in an ancient barn, adjacent to the main hotel. You will find four large therapy rooms, an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, relation space, and lounge with views over the tennis courts.

Enjoy the world-class, rejuvenation ESPA treatments and a selection of holistic therapies. These treatments are meant to restore the mind, body, and soul.

There is also a gym next door, giving you the opportunity to do some cardio, weights, or resistance training alongside your pampering session.

Style & character

Built in the 17th century as a Yorkshire coaching inn, it still retains  much of it’s original character. The hotel is separated in an old and new wing with a traditional style. You can expect lots of artwork from Chatsworth’s Devonshire Collection on the walls (known as one of the finest private art collection in Europe).

 The Burlington restaurant, one of five Yorkshire restaurants to be awarded a Michelin star, is considered one of Yorkshire’s finest restaurants. Head chef Adam Smith (formerly of the Ritz) uses lots of meat, fish, fruits and herbs. There is a slightly formal dress code required. Take advantage of the extensive wine list. For a more relaxed atmosphere, head to the hotel brasserie for standard fare like traditional Sunday roasts. You can also enjoy afternoon tea with a live piano player to accompany your experience.
